Best Clubs in Tenerife 2026: The Definitive Guide

From DJ Mag Top 100 ranked Papagayo to the urban energy of Mala Mía — here's every club worth your night in Tenerife.

Tenerife has one of the most underrated nightlife scenes in Europe. Most people think of sangria and sunburn, but the south of the island — Playa de las Américas, Costa Adeje and Los Cristianos — is home to a cluster of world-class clubs that run serious events from May through October. Here's what's actually worth your night.

Papagayo Beach Club

Papagayo is the benchmark — the only club in the Canary Islands to appear in DJ Mag's Top 100 Clubs (ranked #76 in 2026). It sits right on Troya Beach and runs a full day-to-night concept: Mediterranean food and cocktails at sunset on the terrace, then a proper club night across two floors, five bars and a central dancefloor with a serious sound system. The music policy rotates every night — house, Afro house, tech house, Latin — and the bookings are consistently strong. La Loka, their flagship Monday night, has become one of the most talked-about recurring club nights on the island. Expect it full by 1am at weekends.

Mala Mía Club

Mala Mía has carved out its own lane well away from the tourist strip. It's tucked on Calle México — locals call it Surfer Street — and the vibe is urban and unapologetically Latin: reggaeton, open format nights and a younger, mostly local crowd that actually dances. Cocktails are affordable, the energy builds fast and the ladies' nights have become something of a Tenerife institution. If Papagayo is the flagship, Mala Mía is the one that feels like a secret.

Monkey Beach Club

Monkey Beach has been running beach parties on Playa de Troya since 2007, which makes it a genuine legend of the scene. The setup is bigger than most expect — a full beachfront club with multiple bars, a restaurant, a rooftop pool area and a stage that has hosted Eric Morillo, Roger Sanchez and Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano. Every Wednesday through summer they throw The White Party, which is among the most iconic nights on the island. The all-white dress code, open-air dancefloor and a crowd that commits to the occasion make it unlike anything else you'll find here.

When to Go

Peak season runs from late May through early October. Weekends are the obvious choice, but Papagayo's Monday La Loka and Monkey Beach's Wednesday White Party mean mid-week is absolutely viable — and often less crowded at the bar. Don't arrive before midnight at any club. The serious action starts between 1am and 4am.

Practical Info

Pre-book tickets for any specific night you want — big events and recurring nights like La Loka and The White Party sell out regularly, and door prices are significantly higher. Dress code at all three venues is smart casual; avoid shorts and flip flops at Papagayo and Monkey Beach. Taxis between Las Américas, Costa Adeje and Los Cristianos are cheap (€5–10). Most clubs are within walking distance of each other in the Américas area.
